California Watermelon Festival – Policies & Guidelines
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests, please review the following festival policies before attending.
Prohibited Items
- No dogs (except certified service animals)
- No bicycles, rollerblades, or similar equipment
- No tables or chairs
- No boom boxes or large speakers
- No ice chests or coolers
Food & Beverage Policy
In compliance with the Los Angeles County Health Department:
- No outside food or beverages are allowed
Strollers
Strollers are permitted on festival grounds.
Smoke-Free Environment
The festival is a smoke-free event.
Alcohol Policy
- You must be 21 years or older to purchase alcohol
- Valid ID is required
Bag Policy
All bags are subject to inspection upon entry.
Minor Policy
Guests under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times.
Venue & Terrain Notice
The California Watermelon Festival takes place on natural grass soccer fields.
- Ground surfaces may be uneven
- Guests using wheelchairs, walkers, scooters, or other mobility aids should plan accordingly
- Personal mobility devices are welcome

Photography & Recording
By attending the festival, you consent to being photographed, filmed, or recorded. Images and footage may be used for promotional purposes without compensation.
Safety & Conduct
The festival reserves the right to refuse admission or remove any attendee for disruptive, unsafe, or rule-violating behavior without refund.
Weapons Policy
No weapons of any kind are permitted. Violators will be removed and authorities may be notified.
Ticket Policy
- All ticket sales are final
- No refunds or exchanges
In the event of cancellation or significant disruption due to circumstances beyond our control (including severe weather, natural disaster, government orders, or public safety emergencies), refunds or credits may be issued at the sole discretion of the organizer.
Lost & Found
The festival is not responsible for lost or stolen items. A lost and found is available at the information booth near the entrance.
Assumption of Risk
By purchasing a ticket and/or attending the California Watermelon Festival, you acknowledge and assume all risks associated with attending an outdoor event, including but not limited to the risk of injury, illness, or other unforeseen circumstances.
